The Lazy Administrator
When you want to look up a users license in Office using PowerShell you are presented with a unfriendly Sku. The script will first lookup all users that are currently licensed so it does not attempt to look up a null value.
It will append the results to the CSV so it does not overwrite the file. The results will display the user and their friendly license name. Using the script below we can use delegated admin to run this against all of our tenants and have the results save to each client specific CSV file. Note that I do not finish the full path with the filename. This is because the script will take the path we specify and name the CSV file using the client name.
If we want to save the multi-tenant results to a single CSV file instead of individual client files we can accomplish that as well. This will allow it to save to a single file instead of multiple files. How difficult would it be to modify this to run the report for each customer in our partner portal, with a different csv for each customer. Tried your script since it looked like what I was looking for at it takes me forever to create them myself.
It launches fine and completes the login but after a short while it throws the following back at me:. Nice response time, thank you for that. I tried the new script but sadly it still throws this back at me:. Please specify one of the All or MaxResults parameters. We are working on a feature where each user can logon and get a report of which licenses they have. I use the Office Graph to query that, and might use your mapping as a good starting point.
I have just been using a PowerShell hashtable that I keep updated. We could always keep a shared list in GitHub and reference it? Get-MsolUser : Parameter set cannot be resolved using the specified named parameters. Dear Brad Wyatt, Can you make a script to know, whom was it assigned to and who assigned it? Hi Brad, As Microsoft is always changing things in the background i guess that the friendly names and accountsku names are also added and subject to change.
Where did you find the overview of all the friendly license names and powershell sku names? Online and I work with a lot of clients with a lot of different SKUs.
So I try and keep it updated on GitHub. Hi Brad, How do we add company and department in the report? And Did tried your above script but it was keeps looping non-stop. Great little Script, I am bringing back department, mobile phone etc. I am looking to combine with output from Get-mailbox forwardingsmtpaddress, I can return these separately but need to tie it with UserprincipalName from get-msoluser, Any tips would be great.
This looks like exactly what I am looking for. Is there a way that the license options can also be shown to see what is enabled and disabled for each user? For example, I have users who have been assigned Project Online Premium licenses, but disabled the license option for Project Online due to an application constraint.

Anything that we can work together on keeping the list fresh??
Got this error message Get-MsolUser : Parameter set cannot be resolved using the specified named parameters. GetUser Anyone known how to resolve it?
Thanks in advance. Department make sure company is a valid property. You will have to do some PowerShell matching, can you shoot me an email we can work on it. Is there a way to get the licenses per user on the same line? Hi, Can we create an csv report per license? Leave a Reply Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
Managing User Licenses with PowerShell
To generate a die roll a side of the die is chosen at random. The discrepancy is very small, but can be found by attempting to get the random die side of a 6 sided die a large number of times , worked for me and seeing that the 6th side is rolled noticeably less. Currently we only support the representation of complex numbers in cartesian plane supported dtypes: cfloat cdouble. As discussed here , we might add support for polar representation of complex numbers later but in the meantime it would be useful to have an API to make complex tensors, given magnitude and phase. It seems like a good idea to have an API torch.

In this case they were shared mailboxes and appeared in the left pane of Outlook. Although this case was for shared mailboxes, the cause and solution apply equally to user mailboxes. This can occur for on-premises Exchange Server and cloud-hosted mailboxes in Exchange Online. When auto-mapping is enabled, Outlook receives extra information in the Autodiscover response that tells it to open the additional mailbox. The auto-mapping option can only be configured at the time the permissions are granted. Using the example from the screenshot above, the user in question is Adam Wally, and the shared mailbox is named ShareOnPremMailbox. Finally, re-add the mailbox permission by running Add-MailboxPermission, this time using the -AutoMapping parameter to disable auto-mapping. The change will not immediately be obvious to the end user, because there is a delay before their Outlook client picks up the change via Autodiscover. If the user needs to access the mailbox for anything, they must add it to their profile, or open it via the Outlook File menu. However, for on-premises mailboxes you can query the Active Directory user object properties to determine who will be auto-mapped to a mailbox.

In Office we have three methods of managing license assignments for individual or multiple user accounts. The Office admin portal provides a simple web interface for managing license assignments. Licenses for multiple users can be managed at the same time. This method is useful for ad-hoc license management, or for bulk assigning licenses when you first provision an Office tenant.
