We’re super stoked to announce the date of our next live reading, returning to The Mercury Café in downtown Denver on August 20th, 2016 w/ our cousins: Cheeseburger Nebula Galactic Press @ 7:30pm-9:30pm, featuring authors/artists from both leagues, culminating into what the SW lit scene likes to think is an epic, visually graphic experience.

We love The Mercury Café! A little more than 2 years ago we threw a reading for what was then a relatively virgin venture, no puns intended, and exceeded seating capacity in the little room with enough organic cold-water ambience at the end of the night, that it felt like we could literally manifest non-gmo products out of thin air, if so inclined. That being said, we at KJ and (most assuredly those at CBNGP) would like to dedicate this reading to the notion that we can bring back one of our missing links in Mik Everett, who has been unexpectedly absent from the KJ fam for some time now. We would love to see Mik, and you and your cousins/aunts/creepy uncles are okay in moderation/ mommadaddybrothersissies, hell bring your friends/enemies/frenemies, whatevs. The food is delicious! The craft beer is phenomenal and fair-priced. The show is free (5$ suggested donation but no one will be turned away for lack of funds,) and the season should be just right in Denver to troll the streets with us afterwards.

In fact, maybe trying to put it into words isn’t doing this gathering justice. Here’s a video of our former comrade, Mik, at the Merc: May 23rd, 2014. You can find information on our FB event page about the upcoming show. Enjoy and we hope to see you in Denver this August!
